critics for now: (i havent read everything) but you forget some steps, like your shine, you dont say how you fill the selection. (i use 2 ways)
just an example i give you. i know youre not finnished, but dont forget to fill the gaps.

Standard you don't draw a selection but a filled shape(a filled layer with a mask)(the other options available are draw a path or a filled object(no mask))

well i dont use masks.
I dont see the point of it in sigs.
i use gradient or solid color of ease.
