Typically, Tanks don't bother me too much. If I am on commando I can either ignore or TNT the tank and on my gunner I can bazooka and...well....out tank the tank.
Yesterday was an exception. I played against two gunners that REALLY knew what they were doing with tanks. The first was GingerNips. This dude didn't really have a trick to his tank piloting, he was just a very very good tank pilot. He drove around in our last flag for basically the entire round but was careful not to capture the flag so we would just keep spawning around him. He went 19-1 that round. The second was a player from Belgium or Norway (don't remember which) named TheMax. This guy did something with an ability I had never thought of. Playing on buccaneer bay, he assaulted ship wreck with a tank. Undeterred, I planted TNT on his tank from behind. He quickly hopped out and used grenade eater to consume my TNT and then he hopped back in and turned the turret on me. I was floored by this, I had always thought I eats grenades to be less than good but now I see it in a new light. Our team was suffering from a massive deficiency of gunners with bazookas so taking his tank down was very VERY difficult. We eventually defeated the strategy by turtling in town and in the next game we realized we could just steal his tank if he didn't drive far enough away before hopping out. Point is, tanks are a powerful tool that I feel are underutilized. If teams made a serious point to try and get a driver in every possible tank on the map, I feel the team would be tough to beat without an amazing plane pilot. |

I think it's belgium, because he's named "TheMax".

I don't see that too often in games, but I try to do it on my gunner. It works really well to keep tnt off your tank. I usually get high k/d's in SS for that reason.

Gunners aparently don't know how to buy a bazooka and use it.
In most cases, this should fix your problem. But yeah, I ocasionally go 28/0 and such in a tank with my gunner. Widgets + IEatsGrenades = Win

^Agreed. A gunner without a rocket launcher loses half of its value. Kill tanks, juggle snipers, rocket jump, add extra damage to keg, etc.

One gunner in a tank who uses IEG is almost unkillable witohut gunners on your team.
Two gunners in a tank who use IEG are unkillable. |
