Hey there writers and readers!
Santaher0 here to bring his first ever made story.
This story has been written by me yesterday evening for the Easy's secret santa event.
If you've any spare time feel free to read itSmile.
I'm posting this since I'm hoping to get some feedback, all sorts of feedback are appreciated.
That being good or bad ones.
I'm not going to spoil any of the content yet, so if you're interested read onWink.
I made some slight adjustments to it since I wrote it while I was pretty tired.
Since English ain't my main tongue I often make spelling and grammatical errors while writing stuff when I'm tiredTongue
Therefore I gladly appreciate it if you would point out those errors for me together with it's possible fixSmile.

Let me tell you guys a story, one you shall remember from this day on!

It's the 24th of December a few years ago, night has fallen over the battlefield.
Both national and royal soldiers have drawn back to their hide-out's after having spent a long day fighting each other over and over again.
After such a day they're all tired and for once there can be seen a smile on both factions faces.
Why you would wonder? Well it's Christmas Eve and as the tradition wants it, they'll have turkey this evening for dinner.
Which tastes a lot better than the usual stuff they get to eat.
Royal soldiers are singing Christmas songs around the campfire, having one arm held around the shoulder of their buddy next to them and a good bottle of French one in the other one!
The national soldiers however prefer to celebrate their Christmas slightly different from the royals. They play board games while drinking their typical glüwhein.
Hours flew by and after dinner has been served most of the royal soldiers have already drunk too much and they decide to go to bed early, after hanging up their socks in the Christmas tree.
On the national side they decided to do the same thing. Tomorrow it would be Christmas but that wouldn't withhold the war to continue, so they'll need to be fit and strong for tomorrow’s battle. One soldier however decides not to go to bed yet he wants to run his plane through a quick check before going to sleep.

And up to that day, that very evening, nobody knew the soldiers name, but soon all of that would change!

While checking the engine of his plane, the soldier suddenly hears loud noises coming from the royal hide-outs. Some of those royal idiots who were still awake decided to launch some fireworks.
Well we can all imagine now that wasn’t a good idea, knowing they were quite drunk at that time.
And it wasn't!
Rockets were flying in every direction, none of them which had been aimed properly.
Sooner or later they should hit someone the national soldier thought. And he was right, during a salvo of fireworks being launched the soldier heard a loud bang.
Different from the ones you hear when the rockets explode.
The national soldier didn't quite expect to see what he saw next but well it changed his life for good. A large fireball drew nearer and nearer towards the national soldier, pinned down to the floor because of fear he didn't move at first.
Luckily for him, before impact of the large fireball, he pulled himself together and jumped aside. Just on time! The fireball missed him by a few inches crashing down a few meters away from him. He was surprised none of his companions was awaken by it, but then again the glüwhein probably did its job. Getting up on his feet the soldier at first still felt afraid but his curiosity was far bigger than his fear and he couldn't not withhold himself from having a better look at the object that just fell down from the sky.
To his great surprise he saw someone crawling from the wreckage, something that seemed human but bestial at the same time.
Coming closer he noticed what it actually was, or I better say who it actually was. He couldn't believe it!
But right there, right in front of him, stood Santa Claus himself!
Not paying any attention to the soldier, Santa got up his feet and overlooked his burning sled.
Tears came to his eye knowing he wouldn't be able to deliver any presents that night, knowing all these children will be waiting for their gifts the morning after.
Seeing their sad faces when they find out they didn't get anything, is all he could think of that very moment.
Perhaps there was a slight positive side about all of this though the bag with all the presents that were left to deliver had fallen out of the sled before crashing down to earth.
Meaning they were saved and didn't turn into ashes together with the sled. But Santa couldn't possibly deliver all these presents on foot!
The national soldier still overlooking the event that just happened now coughed, he wasn't exactly sure why he did that but he did it anyway.
Probably to make Santa aware that there was someone watching him. Hearing the cough Santa turned around, looking the soldier in the eyes. Suddenly he bursts into anger shouting at the national blaming him for being the cause of all of this. The soldier replied he had nothing to do with it, and that the royal soldiers were the cause of this mess. And to prove he actually meant all the best he purposed helping Santa.
Well to Santa that didn't sound quite that bad all help was welcome right now.

They needed a plan, a way to deliver all these presents on time all across the land in a short period of time. Overthinking a few possibilities, none of which were good, a great idea suddenly popped into the soldiers mind!
He could deliver the presents using his plane!
Indeed that sounded like a great idea, Santa was exuberant now knowing Christmas could still be saved! Both of them immediately got to work, the soldier prepared his plane while Santa took place on the wing of it having his bag thrown over his shoulder ready to throw down those presents.
The soldier fired up the engine and they departed for what would be a race against time since they only had a few hours left to deliver those presents.

Hours passed and day drew near, still no plane to be seen in the sky near the national hide-out.
But then suddenly a black dot far away in the distance seemed to become larger and larger, it were them!
Santa and the soldier returned from their quest and they succeeded!
Getting down from the wing Santa shouted out loud his typical "HO HO HO MERRY CHRISTMAS!" out of mere joy!
He was so happy Christmas had been saved after all and he couldn't have done it without the soldiers help. Santa spoke to the soldier "Dear, dear boy! Without you this Christmas would have been a disaster! You've proven to be a great help to Santa! You are my Hero!"
And boys and girls remember those last words, because as from that day on the soldier was no longer unknown to anyone.
No, he wasn't, people heard about his story and all knew his name.
However since it wasn't a typical name it was quite hard for people to pronounce. So they decided to call him Santa’s hero, referring to his heroic deed! Years passed but none forgot his name nor what he did.
And the soldier got so used to the way people called him he decided to call himself that way with a slight adaption to it.
That's why he called himself “santaher0.”, easy to pronounce and a name which would always remind him of that night!

That was my story.

Cheers,santa
