Can anyone tell me how can i remove this white portrait behind my sig?

You could just use gimp and the magic wand...

Not sure how GIMP works, but I'm pretty sure GIMP also works with layers as in PhotoShop. You need to make several layers; one for your mugshot, one for the background, one for the lettertype and so on. Now if you want a transparant background, just remove it. Save your sig as a png file, and voila!
