[Discuss] What can be done to stop hackers?

Well I got a pro tip :
EA should give special attention to low lvls especially from lvl 1 to like 17 because these stupid hackers make a new account everyday and then get banned and then start all over again and many hacker like 90% are free loaders ! Well with this tip BFH would be much better of . What do u guys think ? And bfh already knows many sites giving hacks (dont name them) but still dont do anything about it ! If they do 80% of hackers will be gone !

And I was feeling like its been sometime since I found a hacker now ..... and then spotted 2 in a row :3 I hate freaking hackers !!!!

Honestly? Nothing. As it's a free game, no matter how many times they get banned - they can come back and hack more.

It's not up to EA to prevent cheaters from using these softwares, it's Punkbuster's task.

Get a better anti-cheating system. Maybe if that happened then us players won't have to do EAsy's dirty work for them.

There should be this system that launches wieners at the character's screen when they get K/D over three . That would prevent a multitude of the balance issues atm and violate the eyes of the hacker .

I don't know how account bans solve the cheater problems as 95% of the cheaters never spent a penny on this game.
They are obviously trolling and will create a new account to keep doing that.

Just ban their IP.

Working together with GGC would be a start; there are some (eggregiously) obvious hackers, banned months ago in GGC but still playing/unbanned by Punkbuster. It does not solve the problem, but it is a start (plus when the community gives you a hand to help you for free, you take it, especially since at the same time the company you pay -Punkbuster- to do the same job does not produce results!!!).

IP bans are not going to solve the problem (it only works on static IPs, not dynamic).

Also, checking stats (headshots, blind fires), could potentially spot suspicious players (again, this will work only against obvious hackers).

Most importantly Punkbuster should get their act together; they are getting paid to ensure that no cheaters enter the game, but their job is subpar up to this point (at least this is my personal opinion).

Solution is easy, they should start closing hack sites.. But since they won't/can't do that there will always be cheaters in this game.

If they were serious, they would scrap Punkbuster and start their own security program. Even if it would take them a year to make, it would show commitment and how serious they are about combating cheating overall. But it's safe to assume that cheaters ain't a priority in this game.

So at the very least, they should revamp the whole report feature. Making it easier to report and more user friendly. What is also important is progress. What's the point of reporting if you don't know if it's actually making a difference or not? They should like once a month report how many cheaters have been banned, not names, but a simple amount would do.

A report feature ingame sounds messy, but it would be fully possible with some commitment. Like an automated system based on how accurate their reports are.
With a backtrace that automatically would generate a code of simple actions of the last minute of the reported player.
Along with an automated system that starts ignoring players that do bad reports and starts rewarding players that have made reports that have lead to a ban.

The problem is people will pay more to cheat than they will to prevent cheating.

Kill the hackers. It works. (Most of the time). Most hakers are mandos and they just spam bullets, they dont even aim, the hack does it for them, a bit of luck and you get enough time to kill them, after 3 kills theyll quit because they dont like being killed by non-hackers.

Not exactly, the hackers I killed accused me of hacking too. It was pretty nonsense actually.
