XFire help please?

Yeah, so I just made a XFire account, but I've got some questions.

1) is it safe to download? Because when I try to, my security program says something about that it's unsafe.
2) how do you add/search friends
3) Can you record videos?
4) can you speak to your friend, like Skype?

Always confused how people are too lazy to just look at the website of the said product which has the basic information already at hand: http://www.xfire.com/faq/


As for it being safe, google it up and see why it's doing that. Most likely other people who use such a well known program would have encountered it before also and may have already been explained about it. (not going to google any further about it)
