Only way that would happen is if anonymity on the Internet was entirely stopped, since people can hide behind usernames and various other things, they believe they can be hurtful to others. Then again even off the Internet some people are just like that...which means to truly stop bullies etc. you would have to get rid of diversity. ![]() I am a Community Moderator, not an official EA Representative |

Not everything can be dealt with by brute force or taking things away. Been here 4 years, the first week entering Open Beta (Closed Beta wasn't bad, people actually spoke to each other maturely) I simply blanked the chat and have done so ever since. If someone is saying something bad in the chat that you can't ignore or have done it repeatedly then take a screenshot and report the player. Punishing innocents because some idiots want attention or a reaction from others will not solve anything, it will just annoy a huge group of people. Furthermore, sever admins can also do their bit and use the various number of admin tools available to set certain words into a filter, if used and not picked up by the EA filter, they will be warned or even kicked. In other words there are methods of combating this without doing much at all...the biggest way to combat this is to ignore them. @Amsterdam Heavy: The age rating is guidance for parents to let them know what the game involves and what age their children should be to play because of that content. Bad parenting would be letting a child play Grand Theft Auto unsupervised or any 16+ game for that matter unsupervised. A parent allowing a child to play a game for ages much older than them and supervising the child is good parenting. I was 11 when I played Duke Nukem 3D (18+) I was supervised each time I played and I had a great childhood and great parents...just thought I would put that out there @Wuu: Maybe

I was hoping from the game and not a single server though(as long as the filter is "legit" OFC). For example, disable chat for, hmm, 12 hours in all the servers I presume. As it is now, players get kicked and continue ramming their mouth else where or rejoin and bypass filters(weaker penalty than being suspended). But w/e

Hey, I found your problem. You're getting upset over things a random person said to you over the internet. Welcome to online gaming / the internet in general. People get competitive and some people may be what you consider jerks which leads to them saying things, but don't think for a second that you not doing that allows you to walk around with an air of superiority / sense of self righteousness.
