I'm just wondering. what happened to the tutorial option? I dont see why it would be removed [if it was]

Probably because a lot of people were showing upcoming weapons, clothing sets etc. due to modding files. But it was possible to show them only in tutorial mode.
This whole business was not intended by the developers, so... I think tutorial will be back, but a little bit different.

There is a way to unlock the tutorial but it would mean editing the python script which selects which game modes are visible.
