IRON BLOOD
On the 11th of October 1938, 3 powerful divisions of the National 21st army launched an all-out amphibious offensive on the coast of East Malvern, a southeastern province of Royaland. The Royal Army gathered 3 small corps from regional army groups to fight head-on with the enemy.
The Royal soldiers had to rely primarily on small-caliber weapons in their defence, against an overwhelming onslaught of air, naval, and armored striking power from the National army and navy. Despite these shortcomings, the Royal army staged a tenacious resistance, holding the Nationals back for more than two weeks. However, the under-equipped defenders were no match against superior National firepower, and unit after unit withdrew. As the Royal forces fell back in the chaos, their National counterparts pursued them. It is now the dawn of November. A handful of Royal soldiers have found themselves in the ruined streets of Blackburn, a small but vital district, as it serves as an important transportation hub for the Royal army. Unknown to them, a National battalion only a few kilometres away is slowly approaching. As long as the Royals still have control of the district, the National army will not be able to advance... Introduction
Royals
It is the cold night of the 31st of October. It has now been about 2 weeks after the fall of Mt. Waverley, the province's capital. Several small groups of tired Royal soldiers, unknown to each other are slowly approaching a crossroad on the Eastern outskirts of Blackburn from different directions. The area is filled with many tall buildings - all of which are deserted. Midnight is nearing. What will these hopeless soldiers do? Nationals
Only a few kilometres away from the district is the encampment of a National battalion. After a day of fighting and marching, the troops are now resting under the stars. With most of the suburbs blown to bits, the are not expecting much of a fight - or much of a city for that matter. But it looks like that they will be in for a rude surprise... Notes

Willem Winkelaar, with 5 survived division members. Trot from the north to the crossroad, tired and weary.
Willem: Jos. can i loan your binocelaurs? The man known as jos makes a agreeing motio and pulls the binocelers from his neck. Then hands them to Willem. Willem: Thanks. He starts looking through the binocarauls (how do you pronounce it? ) and surveying the enviroment, noticing troops from all directions. Royal.Willem: Allies. Everyone does a quiet cheer, and happily start walking to meet up. |

As Ray cautiously walked through the alley between two incredibly large buildings, he caught the sight of a few figures in the darkness. 5 or 6 of them. He couldn't tell.
The NCO raised his left palm, signalling his section to halt. His squad, and platoon for that matter, was almost wiped out the weeks before. Only 3 of them were left, including him. "I see some guys up ahead," he whispered. Damien, the section's sniper peered down his scope. "Friendlies. I think," he replied. The squad's gunner, Kevin, muttered, "Let's not take any chances..." Willem, walking along happily, noticed through his binocelaurs some people.
Willem: HALT! *thinking* must be friendlies... He showed his glowing dutch 1 division royal gaurds the the unkown people. Knowing that they won't see they are friendly. the unick insignia made by the dutch would alert them to the fact they are friendlies... He hoped.. (am i doing it good? or should i change? this is my first really descriptive bfh roleplay) |

Edwin Ugandu II, being the lone survivor of his squad, wasn't exactly part of his plan of being a soldier. Life was miserable. He didn't have a lot of ammunition on him. He had about 35 bullets including the 5 in his carbine already.
Finally, he reached an inn with the Royal flag in front of it, waving with the cold breeze. He walked inside and everyone looked at him. They were all obviously civilians. On his arm, was a patch that stated he was part of the 9th Separate Brigade, which was scattered after being attacked by the Nationals. What got his squad was some motorized infantry. Killed all of them except for him. It scared him too. His friend Lee was first to be killed. His NCO was next, then their gunner, their assistant gunner, their sniper, and then he took off with bullets trailing after him. "I'd like a room," he asked the innkeeper. The innkeeper gave him a key and said, "Have a nice night." Herman was sitting with his best friend from childhood, Manfred Bach. Manfred was the gunner and he was his assistant by carrying his tripods. "Here, carry some bandoliers," Manfred said. "Alright," Herman said. Manfred took off a belt and handed it to Herman, who wore it to show he helped out the gunner. They were close to the district they were going to attack. At the beach, they were lucky they didn't get lost. Manfred wasn't able to nail a kill and Herman wasn't able to nail one either. But, they did experience the most frightening thing of their life. I betcha 2 bucks you read or saw my sig.
