You cannot possibly outdamage or outsmart high lvl soldiers or gunners unless thay are below average skilled, disregard the graphc at first page the mean almost nothing. Because soldiers and gunner can counterattack every range more effectively and easily right back at you. What does that do to you? meaning you have to stick with teammates. Sticking with teammates> insta death for commandos. OK first of all dude. Its understandable for you to prove me wrong even admirable, but i dont think you quit have the experience and knowledge to prove me wrong to be honest. I have played daul pistol for almost a year, very successfully i might add. No offence but Iam in top100 ranked for commando with an SPM in excess of 350+ you dont even come close to 150 which is extremely low and a strong indication of a inexperienced and campy player. You are rank 22 with less then 1000 kills with Pistols. Why am i brining this up? because your experience and your arguments on this thread is based of that limited amount of playtime and experience. I remember back when i was in my low 20s, i could dominate even with default SRP at that level. Why you cant relate to me and disagree with me is because: you havent played in my lvl or have my experience. You have not played consistenly infantry servers full of lvl30 soldiers and gunners with maxed GS5,FF5,KEG,SHIELD, Laser, RPG etc and skilled Pistol soldiers...while your only offensive ability is your pistol dealing 10-20 damage...while strafing... Daul Pistol is not a variable build to compete successfully at high lvls. Notice the word compete. Iam not saying its a bad build, its probaly the most fun build. Yes you can maintain a positive KDR by playing very cautious and campy like you do (based by your SPM) but then its just better to pickup a Rifle if you have that playstyle. I appreciate though that you are trying to tell me that i dont know to play commando, i suggest you first get your commando to atleast lvl30 before telling a top100 ranked commando how to play this class. Reasonable logic eh? Most commandos in this thread are not even close lvl30. But hey you know what? i dont what to ruin your hopes... just keep playing Daul Pistol you will eventually realize when you gain some experience and lvl to my conclusion. Till then have fun while it lasts

Time to update this great thread since Sweetname himself is inactive.
My conclusion is still the same: Daul VLRP the most fun build and skillbased for mandos but not the deadliest. Its the only class/build in the game that can counter and put fear on Slow/Fast Rifle mandos VLR Pistol = Semi-automatic sniper without scope or zoom. Movement not restricted (relying on aim and skill) Rifles = Scoped-in and stationary while shooting, deadly only for 4 secs. Their biggest weakness (relying on PS and spamming) You should 9/10 win duels against snipers even those camping in mountains with Daul VLRP build. The original build suggested by Sweetname: Stealth1 MT5 Elixir5 TT5 makes more sense now since the MT got buffed. But i still would, Max stealth go for TT5 for tactical and strategic purpose rather then MT5. If you dont know how to use TT, then MT5 is the easy option. The reason is obvious = i hear all the time "TT noob" and never "MT noob" when i play which means TT is working as its intented. ---- If you want to sacrifice XP for better Killing ability then switch one VLRP to PP. PP is highly effective it can do 55 damage on a single headshot, 37 body shot and good crit rate. Its the ultimate try-hard setup, expect lots of montage worthy kills with this weapon. The only downside is, its a very buggy weapon. It has the reload bug, huge deviation even perfect shots are not counted because of deviation. But thats the price to pay for doing 52-55 damage in a single shot. I have killed full HP gunners and soldiers in close-medium range with PP and VLRP which is not possible as Daul VLRP atleast not alone. But using PP requires very good aim to be effective. |
