CERVERA LANDING

By 1943, the Royal Army's counter-offensive campaign, codename Blizzard, was on a roll. The Royals began to more effectively coordinate infantry, artillery, navy and air force tactics. Important central areas which were lost beforehand were quickly re-captured. In order to secure the key northern mountainous areas, the elite 9th marine division, along with a small carrier, was sent on an amphibious assault task to secure the vital harbour of Cervera under occupation of the National army.

Cloaked Royal commandos successfully infiltrated the area and sabotaged the outer defences, allowing the rest of the marines to successfully land on the harbour and set up camp.

Facing the Royals were members of the 11th motorised army. These firm defenders were among the most hardened veterans; they had put up abundant preparation.

The weather was atrocious. Strong, freezing winds crashed in everyday. Being in a white-out condition, visibility was severely cut. Machinery broke down routinely. This was not the battle either side wanted.

Mother Nature’s anger would cut either side's activity to minor infantry raids, prolonging the battle. This fierce encounter would be one of the most costly engagements of the northern campaign.

JUMP IN THE FIGHT!

At dawn, lines and lines of Royal infantry and tanks swiftly rolled through the snowy plains.

They were heading northwards towards pine forest. Sandbags were laid and defences were quickly set up.

An impressive and complex system of trenches was being dug out. Soon, platoons of Royal infantry began filling them up. Among them was Lance Corporal Mickey Hark.

Mickey sat in his dugout, hugging his rifle and inspecting his helmet. He could see his warm, condensing breath flowing out and fading into the bitterly cold air.

The soldier looked around. Sentries in lookouts were scanning the area. Officers were pointing at maps. Grunts were just sitting and standing around with their rifles.

After a while, he noticed an allied plane fly by, over the trenches...

Bugs was helping the mechanic fix the jeep. "Corporal Hark! Can you pass the wrench?" he shouted without looking.

"I don't need a wrench," Jack motioned, continuning to fix the jeep, "Just a little re-adjustment here" He sighed.
"This jeep is dead without or with a wrench sir."

*Waiting for Nationals to make a move*

(FINALLY!!!!)
Neinz was on his way to the National defence on his jeep, along with three over jeeps filled with soldiers. A half-hour later he was at the frontline-defence of the Nationals he then jumped in a trench "Gimme a gun and I'll give the Nationals a Royal head!"He said "Well I hope you give us more than one" Said the Commander choking him a Walther-P38 pistol.

Robart had a terrible headache. He'd been positioning his tanks and spotters all day after the royals had taken the nationals first defences and all the radio messages where killing him.
He had 75 tanks to defend the entire area, and around 15 spotters to find target for his tanks.
A third of his elite tank brigade was already en route to defend the Head Quarters and would be there within the hour, to further consolidate the national defences.
the other two third were positioned mainly at the ruins and in front of the cliffs, to protect the medical facilities of the ruins and the little artillery they had on the cliff.
If the royals tried to take the ruins, they'd meet up the national soldiers, and 50 heavy national tanks...

In the Head Quarters there were Soldiers sleeping in there Barrack's and among them Soldiers was Ober-Lieutenant Otto Groeber a notorious National Pilot and Commando, suddenly woke up he lay still for a few minutes and then gave a big yawn. He then got out of bed and walked to the window. He saw a vast expanse if glittering snow over everything, he got changed and walked out the door.

He loaded and cocked his Golden Revolver which has served him in many occasions and walked outside. He saw a snowman next to the opening of the door, it stared at him coldly. He solemnly walked on looking at the ground kicking the snow well then he thought to himself what shall i do?

Dylan was sweating buckets. The radiator inside one of the tanks had broken, and the behemoth would constantly catch fire on the field, and he was trying his hardest to repair it. However, he was having trouble dislodging the last intake tube from the radiator. He began becoming frustrated, ready to scream, but he kept his cool.

It was dark inside the tank, impossible to see anything. He took off one of his gloves and felt the tube. It was simply corroded. He took his wrench, lifted it as high as he could inside the cramped space, and brought his hand down on it, finally knocking the small metal block from its place. He picked it up by the handle and climbed out of the tank. As he walked across the snow, his black prints leaving a trail, he noticed a friendly fighter flying just east of him.

He went to his bench to do what he could with the busted radiator.

Antero was sleeping at headquaters when young,maybe 19 years old boy came to shake him awake and said,"Get up,lets go blow some royal heads.That young boy was Anteros spotter,called Kurt Steiner.Antero grabbed his mauser,put on clothes and taked a "encouraging" gulp from his bottle.And started walking toward the ruins.

"Well, then," he paused for a second then kicked it with great force. "We're probably better without it," he added. Then suddenly, "Enemy heavy recon squadron!" a soldier shouted. Bugs grabbed his anti-tank rifle and his revolver. He started to shoot at the squadron and one gets damaged and the squadron shot back. (No National RPers involved... unless this squadron is part of ale_47's)

Daron was quietly watching the snow fall in a tree next to the headquarters. He dusted off his jacket and fixed his beret as he began to climb down the tall pine. Daron stood for a moment to look around , then started walking towards the HQ.

As Leguin was finnally going to get some sleep after 30h of non stop defensive preparations, the damned vox began wailing.
"What is it?" he grunted.
"Sir!Sir! Ragnar's tank just got engaged by infantry! He requests assistance!"
"Damned, I shouldn't have let him get so close to the royals, send 3 spotters up to look at the enemy strength, and ready a Tank division with infantry support to go out!" barked Leguin into the vox.
So his tanks had finally met the enemy, he thought. Good, the royals were going to see what they were agianst..

Bugs shot another round and it destroyed the biggest vehicle. The men did not know if it was either heavily armoured cars or tanks with the fire power. Bugs was sure he destroyed one when he heard an explosion as he shot the bullets into the rear. "I need ammo!" he shouted as he loaded his last clip.

"NEHACHOO!" KrazyJ had sneezed for probably the 18th time since leaving the Carrier. He reached into his pocket and took another allergy pill to help calm his cold. He was sitting near one of the Jeeps the Royals had that was testing its motor. The heat radiating from it was a small comfort for him. "Ugh, blasted cold." he complained while blowing his nose into a rag used for cleaning oil. Just then he heard a soldier yell out. Getting up and looking where the voice came from, he saw a heavy recon squad. "Oh perfect." He muttered in his American accent.

"...I need more ammo!" Yelled out the same soldier from before. J ran over to the ammo bunker and shoved some supplies into his back-pack. He ran over to the treanches and hopped down, almost getting shot. He opened his bag and tapped the nearest soldier on the shoulder (Bugs) and yelled out over the gun fire "Heres the ammo!" and handed him some more anti tank rounds.

"Thanks mate!" he shouted as he loaded another clip from the box the soldier gave him. He steadied himself and fired another round into a vehicle without the cannon and had antennaes sticking out. "I think I found the command vehicle!" he reported. He pulled the bolt and fired another round, destroying the vehicle. "Good as gone!"

"Anytime!" J yelled as the soldier thanked him and took aim at another vehicle. He began moving through the maze of trenches with his rifle to try and get into the forest. Just then he heard an explosion. J looked over to see what looked like the command vehicle in a pile of twisted black metal and fire. The enemy's movements were now more sporadic, as National soldiers were yelling at one another while trying to hold their line. "Guess it was the command vehicle after all." J said to himself. He took aim with his scopped M1917 and looked over near the former command vehicle. He saw Nats looking around it. Weird he thought They dont seem to intent on fighting. He then noticed that the were picking up scraps of papers, some half burnt. He took aim at one of them and fired a round straight through his head. He ducked down in the trenches and worked the bolt. Probably gonna be the only head-shot for a while He thought.

Too Consumed with his work on the jeep being obliterated, Jack barely noticed the war. "Hey, Jack!" One of the men screamed, "get your butt in gear!" Jack began to shuffle around, digging in the snow for his gun. When he realized his typewriter and Hand cannon were gone, jack collected his nades and screamed,
"Who has my gun!"

As the National tanks closed into the Royal defensive line, all hell broke loose. Anti-tank cannons fired away like there was no tomorrow. Large-calibre rifles pounded the hostile vehicles.

Mickey shouted repeatedly, "Molotovs! Molotovs!"

Crates of the dreaded hand-held incendiary weapons were brought out.

Entire clouds of the objects rained down from the air, its fire embracing the armoured monsters.

Mickey sprinted through the communications trench to reach the front-line trenches. There, he stood up to observe the action.

He noticed National soldiers scrambling to desperately pick up some papers on the snow. Some of which were pretty much destroyed.

Mickey raised his rifle and took aim.

BLAM!

The soldier worked the bolt and loaded a new cartridge.

What the hell are they doing... he thought.

(Just so you guys know, a rocket dosn't have to one hit kill atank...IT can miss, destroy the tracks or the turret )
When the three spotters arrived, allt hey could see was ragnar and the other 2 tanks he'd had with him destroyed, and the soldiers bodies on the ground, mutilated.
"Why did they get so close to the enemy lines.." one whispered
"I don't know, but lets fall back and vox Leguin"
So they fell back, leaving behind them dead bodies and tank wrecks...And anti infantry mines, courtesy of the national army...
