"I need a medic" text message gone?

Bleh, I hope this is a bug. How else would I know when CrySpy needs a medic when he's on the other side of the map?

personally i go out of my way to heal people. so the "i need a medic" text is really helpful to me. but it really angers me when people use it and they don't need heath. bottom line is, we need heath bars for teammates

I'd rather have them take it out and then just put a flashing + sign over people who need a medic or something like that. That way I can visually see who needs a medic without them spamming the chat, even after their "I need a medic" emote ends. The only way to have the + sign disappear is if they heal up or if you heal them.

Chat spam issue problem solved; more efficient healing achieved.

Who cares about chat spam? It doesn't affect your vision.
It's useful to look up and find the name that needs a medic, move there and you'll find enemies to kill.
Team play is essential in BF, nobody plays solo and survives for long.

I don't really mind the chat spam either, but some people would rather keep the chat for... you know. Chat. If you need a medic you don't need to grab someone's attention for it by spamming the chat. There are many more efficient ways the development team could approach calling for a medic. The method in my last post is basically how it works in Bad Company 2.

I don't know how people get annoyed by the I need a medic emote, If someone spams it at me I just heal them.

Need a medic messages are also useful for gunners, they can help and shield....

Somehow I've got the feeling that all who want the messages gone are ego's with no friends who aren't reading the chat anyway but complain about every match.

Sorry but if I know who needs support, then it is very helpful for a team. Srly... YOU ARE NOT ALONE... Can't imagine that those messages could ever been annoying, also haven't every seen a thread about it or seen anyone complaining about it.

Was just in a game and saw the message.

It's possible there was a spam filter on the server which blocked the users or some other sort of server-based modification.

"The need a medic" message is necessarily during the game.
Most of the time nobody pays attention if someone asks for a medic but at least I do and many others aswell.
So removing the message would be the dumbest thing ever as it saves lifes...
