Stabbed in the Heart

I gazed into your shattered eyes,
Your still beating black heart laced it’s lies into mine,
I was high on your pride,
I followed you to both our deaths,
Left in a pool of blood and deceit,
Your hands that wrought so much destruction grasped mine,
I brought the pain,
That’s what you said but you opened the doors,
Your ways are my hell,
Shortcut to no where,
You stabbed my heart,
Let the flame come down and burn it all,
Burn inside me melt your old ways,
I saw so much hate,
You wore a disguise of pleasure,
All you brought was my fall,
The mask fell while you held the knife,
My hatred was ignited as I drew my final breath,
I leaned on your crutch of lies,
Your broken crutch of lies,
You stabbed my heart that had already died,

Not the greatest, but it is a picture of struggles in the world.

It shines in its brilliance
So unimaginably important
And yet never remembered
The drink of life
Has been set asside for better
Coffee drives people now
As water stills forgotten

It is actually really nice. I should post my short poem called frying pan. One sec I'll get it!

Shh no one repeat this. This was inspired by my mom who doesn't cook.

The Frying Pan

Frying pan oh frying pan why do you stand alone,
Your smile I never see,
The doors lay unopened and the heat you once knew is gone,
The paper plates laugh and dance,
No one needs you see the lonely pan.

That just displayed the fact that new technology has deprived children of the old glory and joy of old-fashioned tech that allowed people to be more hands on.

I'd love to post poetry here, but I fail when it comes to making peotry. I also don't find it as enjoying as writing a story.

Here is my latest poem.

Song of Achilles

My hands are shaking,
I feel the pains of yesterday,
Bloodshed and lost causes haunt my dreams,
Fights of old sparked again,
Deaths of old friends scatter my hope,
Arrows of no regret pierce my skin,
The innocent perish as the unrighteous reap the rewards,
This is where I fall,
So much hurt for such a small world,
My spear is a cornerstone of destruction,
My heart is so cold,
I watch children cry and mothers mourn,
The fathers fall at my feet,
Their blood litters the palace gate,
Troy so ripe for failure is now rank with death,
My hand that brought so much pain falls in sand,
Who will mourn my death,
Who will remember the song of Achilles,

I have a new idea. Although Zeroed is the only one who has presented poetry, I want to start a couple challenges. You can submit a poem that has nothing to do with the challenge.

This is just an idea, I want Zeroed's opinion before I start this. The challenges would vary, but this is one example I can up with off the top of my head.

"Write a poem about anger using a house as an analogy."

Then you would submit your poem it can be as short as you want or as long as you want. What do you guys think?

The rage flickers from candle heads
The flame of anger flourishes
For it has been greater than a century

Now it is roaring in its agony

Breaking

The lights flare up like the tone of your voice
The emptiness is breaking my soul,
Once a place of laughter,
Now as cold as your heart,
Where is the hope I dreamed about,
My heart breaks at every thoughtless word,
The palace of my father dies with my scarred heart,
You tread upon the ground where I used to dance,
Why are you breaking me in,
The cracks in the window match the tears on my cheeks,
Raised voices turn inside my mind,
Don’t you know the damage I have seen
