Whenever I'm supposed to be doing my homework I end up on the forums. So I decided that maybe a thread where you can do your homework while interact with the community.

I don't have any homework now but if you do then just ask, I'm pretty bright I guess. Is 140 IQ good? and then other players can help too, this makes less homework and more BFH.

All of you's maths are too feeble.

Ill bow down to whoever can do this question.

A page of a book is to have 80 cm ^2 of printed material. There is to be a 2 cm margin at the top and bottom and 1 cm margin at each side of the page. What should be the dimensions of the page in order to use the least amount of paper.

Good luck!

my physics professor asked me to explain this problem about gravity, but even after researching i cant understand it... can any1 make sense of this?
l will try my best to formulate this question, even-though English is not my best language.
Gravity is usually referred to as an indentation in space-time. But when they try to show this in a vitalization, space-time is portrayed as a 2d "cloth" with, often, the earth making a dent in it and the moon going around in this dent. But is space-time not 3 dimensions + time? if the earth made indentations in all directions, wouldn't the moon be repelled instead of attracted?

Gravity cannot be explained, yet.
Though, we can't deny it exists and it is an extremely powerful force.

I suppose it's difficult for a human to think about something in terms of 4 dimensions having never experienced it.

Are you at university? I'm not, to be honest. I must say though I can see what you mean. As absurd as it sounds could you imagine the moon growing further from the earth as time passes?

I'll try and to this tomorrow, seeing as I have a maths exam in 3 days. This is optimization, right?
