THE BATTLE FOR WYNDMOUTH

In late 1936, the Olympic track cycling crisis broke out. Day after day, the Royals and Nationals argued on the case. It was all which the people of the world talked about. By 1937, negotiation seemed impossible, as both sides attempted to put the blame on each other. In July, the Royal government officially declared the state of war with the Nationals. The world would never be the same again.

National tacticians decided that it would be favourable to first clear out the Royal aerospace, and then launch a naval invasion. The aerial battle of Royaland had begun. The campaign lasted for over a month; most of the RAF was completely destroyed. The National air arm, on the other hand, also took a heavy blow. Nonetheless, it was decided that Operation Sea Lion was ready to be conducted.

In August, the Nationalist/Imperialist 5th division headed towards Wyndmouth, the Royal major port, to secure the gains of the aerial campaign.

Defending the port and the city is a joint force of Royal, Patriot and Revolutionary soldiers. This allied force can be classified as some of the best soldiers the alliance has. However, even this unit has a relatively severe shortage of fire-power and nearly no modern equipment. Nonetheless, they are ready to take fight to the streets.

(For a basic layout of the area: There is a large Royal outpost. To the near east are many streets, houses and stores. Further east is the beach and port; it's got three massive coastal guns and some beach defenses. East of this is the sea, where the invasion fleet is.

Let there be Role-play!)

I actually found it kinda smart when u mentioned RAF because they WERE real but in this case it was Royal Air force but Operation Sea Lion was the name of the operation of the Nazis invading Britain (royals) when royals seemed more like Australian/ American by there looks lol

Hsin Qian

Hsin cleaned his MP18 and was about to head into the bunkers. He looks through his binoculars and sees a foggy figure of a ship. "Sir, you might want to see this...." and hands it to Corporal Mark Bee.

Ian Byrne smelled the fresh, sea air while he walked on the cool tarmac of the Royal air base. He spotted the town, about a good mile away. He then noticed the line of boats in the distance. He squinted his eyes just to make out a National flag. "Well, I better get my plane started," Ian mumbled to himself. He walked into the hanger, which by now looked deserted. All the Royal air support were either destroyed or off somewhere else. Ian walked over to his Spitfire and checked if it needed fuel or engine oil. "Everythings ready," He whispered as he got in the planes cockpit.

Pusong Qian and Frank Barron were in the Cayden Loyd tankette (callsign:Bath's Towing Company No.334) tasked to tow an Ordanance QF 25-pounder Short to the Royal Outpost. They passed a Gun Carrier Mark I. "Looks like the 29th are using a rustbucket from a hundred years ago," said Frank. Pusong nodded, "They have no other choice, the Gun Carriers are being used in desperation for more artillery pieces." They carried along their task to the outpost meeting Maj. Bernard and Gen.Wilson.

Quincy Bass was in the Gun Carrier Mark I with 3 other men. He was the mechanic for the Gun Carrier and also part driver. In fact the two gearsmen and the commander are drivers as well. They all had to cooperate to steer it. They neared the outpost and left it there for the night. He thought, "Tomorrow is the big day for the repelling of the invasion, the cameraman will take photos of us and the Kaboom! We'll be in history books!"

Through the binoculars, Mark saw the feint outline of many ships of incredible bigness. At first, he could not believe what he saw. Then, he knew that he had to face reality. Immediately ditching the viewing device, the corporal hastily sprinted to other officers what he had seen.

Within minutes, everyone had got to their battle stations. Civilians were screaming. Everyone seemed to be saying something. Machine guns were set up; tanks were started; snipers were ready.

Mark was in a small, improvised bunker with his squad; they had a nice, handy view of the streets. The rifleman turned around and spoke to his squad, "Okay, when those nats come, just focus on any one of them and pull off as many rounds as you can."

Mark fed a fresh clip of ammunition into his carbine and pushed the bolt forward. He was ready. They were ready. The beach and streets were to become a mill of flesh and blood...

Isaac Bickle and Buddy Park were behind sandbags destroying LCs the Nats had. Bickle was grazed and was the first casualty of the Invasion. Buddy Park then drew out his Colt 1911 and shot at a soldier trying to get pass. A sniper shot at Buddy but missed and took a part of his ear off. "C'mon hang in, when they say retreat we're outta this s***!" said Isaac. "Goddamnit! MY ****ING EAR!" screamed Buddy. His ear was blackened and Isaac's graze was dark red bloody...

Hsin saw that not all of the first wave was neutralized and some made it into the streets. Hsin quickly manned the .30 cal and mowed down the enemy. "They better finish off the second wave..." he whispered.

Seconds felt like minutes. Minutes felt like hours. Hours felt like days. The enemy was swarming up the beaches and into the streets. Mark and his squad continued to take up the defensive position in a desperate attempt to slow the enemy down. The atmosphere was completely filled with the pounding of artillery, the explosions of hand grenades, and the screaming of fallen soldiers.

Within a single day, the beach was completely lost. The bitter fight was taken into the urban streets. The sight of a blue sky seemed like a fantasy. Everywhere lay smoke, pieces of equipment, and Royal and National corpses.

Mark slowly crawled out of the half-stricken bunker; it was of barely any use now. The Royal rose up to his feet and readied his bayonet. Everywhere he looked; everything was in ruins.

The rifleman and his squad slowly advanced through the street, keeping a low profile. There was a constant rattling of machine gun fire ringing in Mark's ear; it reminded him that it wasn't all over yet.

Mark climbed into a sandbag fortification; it oversaw an intersection of two streets. There were still some shops there, but they were all pretty much blown up. Mark steadied his rifle and kept his vision on the street. A few figures could be made out through the hazy smoke; they were moving towards him...

Pusong and Frank were on the right side of the beach. "Shoot them already!" shouted Frank as he drove back. "There's too many!" Pusong shouted back. They drove back to the streets (Street "C").

Quincy Bass had an easier mission, he was near the beaches and had to shoot the 6in howitzer. "LOAD!" barked the commander. Quincy loaded and the commander pulled the string which shot the round. And they repeated this until they heard "RETREAT!"

About a few hours later, a Panzer II attacked the Gun Carrier Mark I, and the inexperienced crew bailed (not knowing the armor was thick enough to withstand the rounds) and were killed. Quincy was smart enough to stay and shoot the howitzer into the Panzer II and destroy it. Quincy decided to try and steer the Kaboom! to the Outpost.

Pusong and Frank bailed their tankette and left it knocked out in the streets (Street B) they looked for a squad to join they found a Royal helmet, hoping it was being worn by a live Royal, they walked to it.

Maj.Bernard crouches behind a broken car and clutches his carbine tightly as lots of grey uniformed grunts come. Holding his only frag he wonders when he should throw. Firing a few shots through the horde he sees a few bodies drop. He continues to hope he can hold out.

Hsin tried to catch up with his squad leader Cpl.Mark Bee, he was too fast compared to him. Hsin then saw what his NCO saw two figures walking towards him, seeing that it looked like his older brother he shouted, "DON'T SHOOT IT'S MY BROTHER AND HIS CREWMEMBER!"

Ok, back to Quincy Bass (I will start on Frank and Pusong after Cpl.Bee finds out about the two).

August 20th, 1938
Quincy Bass

He loaded another clip into his Lebel rifle, he has holed up in a store for two days now and forages for food at night. He's all alone, the Kaboom! knocked out, and he has nowhere to hide but here. The store was empty and he was miserable from the loneliness. "Damn Nationals took every single ****ing thing here!" he shouted to himself. There were many dead National soldiers in front of the store, it was only a matter of time until they use flamethrowers to flame him out...

Wow, you guys started without me!

Kenji Nokano was the first to the beachhead and the first one to lose his helmet. He charged up to a bunker and flamed them out. "FIRST BUNKER CLEARED! GO GO GO!" he shouted at the men. He continued on to clearing out the coastal batteries. He silently stared at the suffering of the Royal soldiers who had to face the wrath of his Type 93 flamethrower. That day, word spread of his bravery from company to company. Many admire him as a hero and wanted him for a promotion. He accepted and was a Superior Private (Jōtōhei as they call it in Japanese, and no I don't speak Japanese, I copy pasted it from Wikipedia Wink)

Two days later,

Kenji Nokano was part of "P" Company. His company was the first to make it into the streets. Kenji was making quite a good name for himself. Most of the men respect his good humor and his daring personality. "I only do this for the Emperor!" he proudly replied to a National.

The two figures seemed to be wearing allied mechanised helmets. Mark slowly lowered his rifle and waved his arm wildly.

Good...a couple more lads here... he thought.

The corporal had heard that the entire beachhead was obliterated by naval artillery. Together, Mark, his squad and the two newcomers squatted down in the sandbag covered trench.

"Alright", Mark said. "We're gonna weave through these streets and kill any hostiles we see. Go through each house and each room. We have to hold this district for as long as possible."

Mark looked around. Everyone had grim but determined faces.

He continued, "Look, if we're able to keep these streets from those damned gnats, reinforcements might come and hold them back even further."

The Royal stood up and climbed out of the trench. He looked back and quietly called out, "Okay, let's go..."
