Most of the time when I was playing, I was pretty much thinking >>this<< about blackwyn (better to watch the full vid, replace mortar with sniper and tank as triple OB gunners).

No offense to anyone but a lot of high level pub matches are better than what we played today.
I played pub matches that were better than some CW's. Not saying this match was bad, not at all. Just saying that gameplay wise, teamwork, etc wasn't better than an average, high level, pub match.
But it was fun and that's what it was meant to be in the first place.

I agree, for me, game was pretty horrible. On par with solo pub games I play. When I was playing, I was pretty much thinking all the time "where is my team? where are the gunners/soldiers? who can I run up to team with?" everyone was just sooooo out of reach from me. The only time it came together was in that VV round mid game where we started to act as a team, although that didn't last long.

Am I the only one who gets pub games worse then that match?
My pub games, the teams are spread all over the place and the only thing the chat is used for is to yell "noob" and "hacker" at others. Sometimes if team mates are near each other, they usually run off and leave you fighting by yourself as well and then call you a noob for dying in a 2v1 fight.

It is one of the reasons I barely play any more, I don't want clan stuff as I just don't haven't the time plus don't really care about "serious" gaming any more and pub play is generally so bad that I can't cope for longer than 20 minutes.

Heh I tried to stay with anyone I could attach myself to, unfortunately it seemed BA55 (Which if it is true that he is Robwar then if it was a proper and serious war between CB and OB, would be disqualified considering Robwar as a person is a CB hiding under an OB account...but since it wasn't serious, I am quite happy to let that go and still consider this a good battle and a good time) Wuu and, Matt, Mushroom had other ideas.

I think I stuck by NotYou and yourself for most battles but found myself face to face with Matt most times and having really awesome 1v1 gunner duels with him.


I don't think anyone is denying that the CB vs OB match in terms of a clanwar/pubwar was horrible but the point is...it wasn't a clanwar or a pubwar...if it was meant to be serious or even close to a clanwar then the teams would have been planning weeks in advance, doing training rounds and talking on teamspeak throughout each match...none of that was done because it was a funwar...so funny to see how many people are popping up and saying it is bad...you want serious, make your own war

edit: No Drew you don't...generally when I am matchmade when playing Failcetti, I find myself to be the one on top of my team and ahead in both points and K/D compared to both sides. However today each side had experienced players and players that know how to play the class they played, how to use the maps to their advantage and natural teamwork (even if some of it was slightly sloppy and I handicapped myself...a lot )

It was actually quite nice to try and hold my ground against higher levels and higher experienced players

As for my thoughts on the match:

IMO it's a lot better than most pub matches I play (save for the rare ones where I'm in a game with people like Pare, Indignant, and the other RG/Imperfect guys). Normally I just run Rambo without much regard to my team (since I don't usually have a team) and still do decently.

But honestly I was rather surprised at the CB team's "teamwork" :O

I was expecting for our team to lose since the CB's, are well, CB's who've been at this game much longer than any of us OB's have.

And finally, if this was a clan war, we would have training and TS (stuff mentioned by Shadevenius), and more importantly, we wouldn't have gunners with 5 FF nor soldiers with high levels of BB/GS.

It was a fun event, better than most of the pubs I play atleast, which you can basically win yourself (especially with a gunner). Sadly, the other cbvsob thread made yesterday is more serious and I don't have any 26 royals, but for those of us who had fun yesterday, we should totally do this again, just for fun ^^

gg guys i had fun while i played. It was really weird when we waited in pre-game it was perfect then it shot up to 700 ping and i couldnt move. when said i was beast i was reffering to when i killed R.E.M at the begining and i had 1-0. My 2 kills were R.E.M and groonz. im satisfied. I like this new title Return of Messi & pals. Maybe when i go back to the states we can have another one and my ping will be better.

The games looked so much fun! If there's a new one, I'd like to participate.

Uploading / Rendering the 2 BEST rounds now (CC). OB did pretty well here and imo this gameplay is the most enjoyable of 'em all, short and full of kills unlike some other rounds which were really long.
