Is there any way to transfer all your brushes from 2.6 to 2.8?
2.8 finally started working, and all i have is the default brushes -_-

EDIT: 2.8 is still really laggy its only the brushes

I must say that this was a very helpful tutorial. I just made my first signature today by following this. I'll try to do a few more advanced things later (I'm still a newbie in terms of signature creation ).

I see that a lot of sigmakers use gimp but whats the diffrence between gimp and another program ?
why does everybody use it ?

GIMP and Photoshop are pretty similar, GIMP may be a bit harder to use some points compared to Photoshop. Though it depends on how much you have used those programs

The main difference is the price, you can get GIMP for free.

Much better than my first, nice job.
Try saving it as a png instead of jpg next time, will be higher quality.

How can you make a rainbow from scratch with gimp? This problem is reallly annoying me -_-

Set the lasso tool's settings according to the left side of the image (Anti-aliasing on, feather edges by 10-20). Select the rainbow shape using the lasso tool, and fill with one of the rainbow gradients (Right side of image).


Not sure if this'll work, never tried it.

For the shape, you can also try using the Eclipse Tool. Make an oval (feather edges 10-20 like before), and then set the mode to 'Subtract from the current selection'. Make another oval lower than the first one, everything you select will be removed from the selection, leaving you with a rainbow-like shape.
Do the coloring the same.

Yeah, I tried the first one with the lasso tool a few days ago, and the gradient looked bad, so I will try the second one soon, I think it will make a better rainbow shape hopefully. Thanks

If the gradient doesn't work, fuzzy brush is your friend.
